John A. Carbaugh Succumbs at 96

John A. Carbaugh. 96, husband of the late Annie Eline Carbaugh, York, died Sunday at the Robinson Convalescent Home, Hanover. He was formerly of near New Oxford, a brother of Harry W. Carbaugh, late well known Berlin Junction Brick manufacturer.
He was the eldest member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, York. He had worked as an upholsterer for the former Martin Parry Corporation and in his own shop and as a trimmer for the casket division of York-Hoover Corporation.
Survivors are four children, Quinton A. Carbaugh, Chicago; Mrs. Maria Shannon, Camden, N.J.; Bernard Carbaugh, Hanover and Edward A. Carbaugh, York; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services this Thursday with a Solemn High Mass of Requiem at his church. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Oxford.
