Roger Wade Banta Resident of Bountiful Passed away March 7, 2013 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born in Los Angeles, California to Francis Nelson and Mary Dixon Banta on January 12, 1929. He was raised in Inyokern and Bishop, California. He graduated from the University of Nevada and San Jose State University. Roger obtained an ROTC commission and served two years in the Air Force. He and his wife, Janice Law, had 61 happy years together. They served an LDS mission which was a special experience for them. Roger loved working with children. He was an educator and elementary school principal in San Jose, California. There they raised three outstanding children, Mark (Donna), Mary (Tom), and Carrie (Morrell). Their children were the highlights of their lives. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Centerville North Stake Center, 1461 North Main.
