Emily Urmanski went home to her Lord on Monday morning, September 12, 2016. She was 86 years old.

Emily Edna Marie was born January 23, 1930 in Wausau to Elsie Walters and Edward Hoffman. Emily grew up in Brokaw and married Edward Urmanski on July 1, 1955 in Bemidji, MN. The couple lived in Milwaukee, and then in Waubeka where they worked together for many years in Eddie’s woodworking business, Brown Deer Woodwork. Eddie preceded her in death on October 14, 1988. Emily moved shortly thereafter to Random Lake and then to Beechwood Rest Home.

Emily loved animals, especially dogs and birds, and had numerous dog companions during her life. She also loved music, and attended the first 19 Lakeshore Productions’ musicals, as well as many high school shows.

Emily leaves behind many friends who she touched with her positive outlook on life.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents Elsie and Edward, and her sisters Phyllis, Gloria and Ruby.

Emily’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 98 Random Lake Road in Random Lake on Friday, September 16 at 6PM. There will be a time of gathering on Friday from 5:30-6, and again after the service. Emily will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Waubeka.
