Angelina was noted to be 5' 1" and weighing 147 lbs. at the time her naturalization, and 5' 3" weighing only 100 lbs. sometime prior to death. She became a Naturalized US Citizen on July 23, 1935, having emigrated to New York from Genoa, Italy on March 27, 1906, on the vessel "Florida". The identity of the father of Angelina's boys and whether or not he accompanied them to America is unclear at this time. We know her oldest son, Otto, was born in Brescia, Lombardia, Italy and this may be where the family lived. Angelina and her sons settled in San Francisco sometime before 1912, where she supported them as a midwife.
Angelina appears to have been married to "John Cesana" as she was noted to be his widow in several records. In addition, she apparently was married to "Samuel Cesana" (an auto mechanic) possibly around 1916 but no marriage record has been found for either John or Samuel. We see Samuel and Angelina together with one of her sons living in San Rafael in 1925. They apparently divorced at some point prior to 1930.
Angelina died at Napa State Hospital in Imola, Napa, California, where she had been admitted about 1-1/2 years prior to her death. She was noted to have been a diabetic and suffered from arteriosclerosis for many years. The diseases and/or conditions directly leading to her death were stated as terminal bronchopneumonia (x2 weeks), and chronic brain syndrome with senile dementia disease with psychotic reaction (x27 months).
