Daughter of Lawrence Curtis and Olive May Botkin. Married to Louis McBride, whom she met at church when she was 12 years old and from that time on "she only had eyes for Louis McBride." They had been married for 42 years when he passed away in 1968. She moved from Centralia to Colorado in about 1937 where they lived until Louis' death. In 1969 she moved to Harlingen, Texas. She was a very faithful member of the Church of Christ and was present in the regular worship assembly the Sunday before her death. Memorial services were held in Harlingen and at the graveside in Salida, Colorado, officiated by long-time friends of the family Jacob Vincent and Gus White respectively, at her request.
