The son of William Rock and Sarah Breiner, Dr. Rock was a prominent physician at Auburn Indiana for a number of years. His first marriage was to Amanda Belle Taylor on Dec. 19, 1875 in Defiance Co. Ohio (she died shortly after the marriage). His second marriage was to Margaret Sausaman in Defiance Co. Ohio on Dec. 25, 1877 (she died at Auburn Indiana on Apr. 22, 1916). His last marriage was to the widow Elizabeth Aber on Feb. 7, 1917 in DeKalb Co. Indiana. Originally in the mercantile and insurance business at Sherwood Ohio, he entered the Miami Medical College at Cincinnati in 1887 and later attended Rush Medical College at Chicago, where he graduated in 1891. He returned to Sherwood, where he practiced medicine until 1900, when he moved to Auburn, Indiana, where he continued his practice of medicine until his retirement.
