Earle Barnette Dennis, 74, 731 E. Smith Road, died Sunday at his family home.


Mr. Dennis was born Nov 5, 1911, in Concrete, and had lived in Whatcom County all his life except 10 years spent with the Southern Pacific Railroad in Oregon. He retired in1976 as a field representative for Whatcom Medical Bureau.


He was a Elks Club member and he attended Laurel Community Baptist Church.


Mr. Dennis is survived by his wife, Carol June, of the family home; a daughter Linda of Olympia; one brother David of Vallejo, Calif; and two sisters, Mary Mooring and Ruth Flowers, both of Vallejo. Two brothers, Tom and Paul Dennis, died earlier.


Private graveside services will be at 1 pm Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Curtis Prurett officiating.


Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Visiting Nurse-Home Health Care, Bellingham, WA or to Laurel Community Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Jerns & LeVeck Funeral Chapel.
