MIAMI - Felton "Toots" South, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003.
Mr. South was born Feb. 26, 1917, in Lawton, Okla. He married Leona Sikes on May 10, 1940, in Perryton. He was a rancher in the Miami area since 1938. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Miami.
He was preceded in death by his wife Feb. 7, 2002; a son, James Felton South; and a grandson, Justin Kelly South.
Survivors include two sons, John Hubert South of Azle and Lloyd Wayne South of Grayford; a foster son, Mickey Easley of Miami; a sister, Juanita Nance of Plano; a brother, A.L. South of Yukon, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
