Aden John Howell, late of Fowler, Kans., who grew to manhood on a farm northwest of Garfield, became despondent because he believed he could not recover from an attack of appendicitis, and stabbed himself with a knife pneumonia developed and he died.
Howell was in a hospital in Hutchinson, and while in a dangerous condition, showed signs of improvement and surgeons told him he would recover.
