Fannie was the daughter of Jackson F. and Matilda Parker. She came to Dallas County at the age of 14. She married John W. Vineyard in 1888. Her husband was a farmer. They had six children, but only one survived her. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was active in church work for many years. She was said to have a constant ambition to help others. One friend said, "She set an example by doing good to others."
