Wallace Ray Albin was born July 20, 1926, in Knox County to Earl Albin Sr. and Alfreda Sandstrom. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1943. He was employed by Plainview Creamery and later by Bonge Bros. He and brother Earl Jr. also worked at the Mobil Station in Plainview and later Wally owned the local garbage service. He became a rural mail carrier and retired in 1996.

He served in the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star.

He married Gloretta Prange July 23, 1956. To this union two sons were born.

Survivors include his wife; sons and daughters-in-law; grandchildren; sisters; brother; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Forrest, Loren, Dean, Cliff, Gail, Wayne and Earl and sisters Amber and Doris.
