STATESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Waldo Beasley, age 74, died on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The Rocky Ford native lived for most of his life in Bulloch County. Mr. Beasley was an electrician and worked at Statesboro Electric Motor Service, Braswell Food Company and retired with King Finishing after 25 years of service. Mr. Waldo loved to hunt, fish, spending time with his family, dancing and music. He was always willing to help local farmers with repairs to their equipment and was known as the man with the white cap. Mr. Waldo was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord and found sweet peace in Him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Claudine Beasley.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Barbara West Beasley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Ann and Chris Wiggins, Carolyn and Mike Ethridge and Shirley and Ricky Mincey; two sons, Travis Waldo Beasley and Tony Scott Beasley, all of Statesboro, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, Christopher Wiggins, Andrew Wiggins, Hanna Wiggins, Rachel Wiggins, Kasey Kopotic, Sam Kopotic, Jim Kopotic, Miranda Mincey, Ricky (Kelli) Mincey II, Brook Mincey and Anna Gray Beasley. One sister, Mildred West, also survives.

The visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Eason officiating. Interment will be in Beasley Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Wiggins, Christopher Wiggins, Ricky Mincey, Sam Kopotic, Jim Kopotic, Rus Demott, Eli Page, Yancy West, Rocky West and Westbrook Smith.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.
