Believed to be Harry J Blattenberger, son of Adam and Sarah (Croyle) Blattenberger, of Fishertown, PA. Acc. to BG reports (see below), served overseas in US Army during WWI, 16th U.S. Infantry. Draft registration form dated June 5, 1917; exact service dates not known. Returned home fall of 1919. Died a year later at age 30. Brother Charles Blattenberger served as informant on death certificate.

The 16th U.S. Inf. is listed as one of several regiments assigned to the 1st Infantry Division (also known as "The Big Red One"); PA enlistment registers may be available from the regional Archives facility.
