Orlando Lance, son of Peter and Roselle Lance, was born in Hardin county, Ohio, July 11, 1861 and departed this life Friday, March 6, after a brief illness, at the age of 53 years, 7 months and 26 days. He was united in marriage to Ella Taylor at Kalamazoo. March 24, 1888. To this union were born two children: Claire was born October 16 1905 and died December 18. 1905; Florence was born April 8, 1907 and is left to comfort her mother. He had been a member of Liberty Arbor. A. O. O. G. for 14 years. Nearly all his life has been spent in this vicinity, where he has made a host of friends. He has left to mourn his loss a wife, a daughter, one brother, Frank, and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. H. Palmatier of Climax.
