SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Gordon (Francais Glassell) Lambert, 81, died Friday, September 20, 2002. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2002, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport on Thursday, September 26 at 1:30 p.m. Francais was born in Dixie, Louisiana on April 10, 1921. She attended C. E. Byrd High School and Centenary College in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of the Junior League of Shreveport, the Colonial Dames, and Holiday in Dixie Cotillion. She was an avid hunter, exceptional seamstress, gardener and chef. She loved to visit with her friends and to be with her wonderful grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Houston Lambert and her parents, Ashton and Wesley Glassell. She is survived by daughters, Francais Lambert Clymer and husband, Charles of Dallas, TX and Wesley Lambert Richardson and husband, Donald of Shreveport, LA; brother, Wesley Drane Glassell of Shreveport, LA; sister, Ashton Gonella of Chevy Chase, MD; grandchildren: Elizabeth Gordon Clymer and Camdon Lambert Richardson of Dallas, TX; Christopher Fulk Richardson and his fiancé, Andrea Schippert of Charlottesville, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous dear friends. She leaves her daring investment co-hearts in the El Mundo Syndicate and her never forgotten "Forgotten Women". A very special gratitude to Shirley Carrier for her constant support and truly loving care and friendship and also Lorna and Loyce Camus for their special care.
