Agnes Gertrude (Korty) Anthrop, 90, died at 8:50 AM Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1996, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She had been a patient at Murdock Manor the last three years. Born June 12, 1905, in Lafayette, she attended St. Boniface School and graduated from Jefferson High School. Her marriage was to Walter H. Anthrop on Sept. 20, 1938; he survives.
Mrs. Anthrop was a former secretary at Purdue University, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Boniface Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, Sigma Delta Rho sorority, and a former member of the Mother's Club at St. Francis High School.
Also surviving are three daughters, Joan (Mrs. Vincent) Katz of Oak Park, IL, Marilyn Krebel of Lyons, IL, and Eileen (Mrs. Jerry) Chambers of Fairfax, VA; two sons, Walter H. Anthrop, Jr. of Kingston, MA, and Robert J. Anthrop of Brazil, IN; a brother, Norbert Korty of Lafayette; a sister, Irene (Mrs. E.A.) Pinard of Bridgeport, CT; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
