Robert Floyd Kills Frank Butler
Danville,GA,January 16.--On Saturday afternoon Robert B. Floyd, of this place, shot and killed Frank Butler, at the home of Johnnie White, near Montrose, Laurens Co. Mr. Butler was shot three times, either of which shots would have produced death.
Owing to the prominence of both parties quite a bit of excitement prevails in both Laurens and Twiggs Counties.
Mr. Butler was about fifty years of age, with a large family. Floyd is about thirty years of age and a single man. So far he has made his escape.
