Easton, IL - Lila M. Phelps, 85, of Easton died at 11:04 a.m. Friday, July 1, 1994, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Born Oct. 9, 1908, in Mason County to George and Susannah Furrer Athey, she married Lyle C. Phelps on Nov. 26, 1927, in Pekin. He died Feb. 5, 1994.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers.

Surviving are two sons, Dale of Covington, Ind., and Jerry of Easton; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd M. Athey of Easton; and two sisters, Grace Dawson of Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Fern E. Tomlin of Easton.

She was a member of Easton United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Easton Cemetery in Easton.
