Violet Rose Miller 12/2/1925 - 1/19/2006 Violet Rose Miller, a native of North Dakota and longtime California resident, passed away in Vallejo on Thursday, January 19, at age 80 years. She and her late husband, Albert Miller (2002), were Concord residents prior to her move to Vacaville three years ago. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Robert L. Miller (1999). Violet is lovingly survived by her daughter, Diana Ferguson of Costa Mesa; sons, Lloyd W. Gieg of Vacaville and William Gieg of South Lake Tahoe; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and served as a volunteer at We Care Center in Concord. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Concord. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Contra Costa Chapter c/o Alameda Office, One Kaiser Plaza, Suite 625, Oakland, CA 94512-3611.
