Mr. Ackerlund was born Sept. 24, 1911, in Chippewa County, Wis., a son of the late Louie and Mary Arnescn Ackerlund. He married Sylvia J. Jensen on August 16, 1947 in Chicago. She survives.
George C. Ackerlund, 65, of 1415 Madison Ave., in Edwardsville, died at. 10 p.m. Thursday in Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis County, he had been ill for the past three weeks.
Private funeral services will be held al. the Jones Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery, in Washington, Iowa.
