Karl H. Quednau, age 73, of Tawas City, formerly of Maybee, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Exeter Township, MI. #Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Erik Schmidt of Community Lutheran Church will officiate the service. #Born on December 27, 1940 in Ludingworth, Germany, he was the son of Walter and Gertrude (Schmeeicke) Quednau. #He was a self employed carpenter, upon retirement he moved to Tawas City. #Karl enjoyed deer hunting, building houses, barns and working on his 40 acre farm where he raised cows, chickens and ducks. #He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ronnie and brothers, Ervin and Ernie. #Surviving are son, Todd (Marcia) Quednau of Maybee; daughter, Bonnie Sue Ray Quednau of Taylor; 4 brothers, Otto (Shelly) Quednau of Dundee, Herbie Quednau of Flat Rock, Dennis (Pat) Quednau of Carleton and Wilbert Quednau of Flat Rock; 2 sisters, Sabine (Gunter) Fromman of Flat Rock and Susan (Kenny Morrison) Quednau of Sand Lake, MI; 3 grandchildren Sean (Larissa) Ray, Todd Arthur Quednau and Brandon Michael Quednau; 2 great-granddaughters, Savanna Ray and Adyson Quednau. #Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
