She was born in Nursery on September 6, 1915 to the late Talton and Annie Carson Granberry. She was a ward clerk at Cuero Community Hospital and a member of the Baptist Temple in Victoria.
She is survived by her husband Samuel M. Bailey Jr. of Cuero; daughters, Myrtice Rangnow of Meyersville and Nelda Meitzen of Portland; step-daughter, Shirley Blohm of Victoria; sons, Eldon Ray Hancock of El Campo and James W. Hancock of Cuero; step-son, S. M. Bailey III of Newark, Delaware; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by first husband, James Martin Hancock; parents; sisters, Lorene Milligan, Oleda Driscoll, and Madie Raley; brother, Ervin Granberry; and grandson, Steven Rangnow.
Visitation was Saturday, February 15 at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral services were Sunday at the funeral home chapel, Dr. Gene Rice officiated. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery. Freund Funeral Home, Cuero, 361-275-2343.
Pallbearers: Darrell Hancock, Jamie Hancock, Sam Meitzen Jr., Jon Christopher Ideus, Jonathon Ideus, and Jack Lee.
