Funeral services for Ernest Meyer, 80, of Damon, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First English Lutheran Church in Damon. The Rev. Harold E. Fehler officiated and burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Meyer died Tuesday at his residence. A native of San Felipe, he was a farmer. He was also a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Damon.
He is survived by two sons, Clarence Meyer of Sugar Land and Leslie Meyer of Needville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Meyer of Damon; and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Kraft Braeuer and Mrs. Hermina Stuhrenberg Lehmann, both of Needville.
Memorials may be made to the First English Lutheran Church in Damon.
