Mr. Thompson was married September 1, 1891 to Alberta Childress and to this union six sons were born but only two, John and Cassie survive the father. Ray, Archie, Raymond and Udell preceded the father to the grave. Besides the two sons, John and Cassie, a sister, a brother, and the wife survive.
Mr. Thompson was a member of the Methodist Church, lived a consistent Christian life and was respected by all who knew him.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mellvoy of the Methodist Church. Burial was in Elliott Grove Cemetery.
