On 14 May, 1897, in Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana, Stella Singer, (F.A.G. #231223830), married John James O'Connor, (F.A.G. #10441791), born June, 1876. They had a child in October 1899, James John O'Connor, (The subject of this memorial-F.A.G. 131647324). They were living in Hardin County in the 1900 census and the son was 8 months old. They were all living together with her parents, (A.H. & Sarah Ella Schofield Singer).
Stella was to give birth to three more children. In 1909, Stella, pregnant with her fifth child, died in childbirth. Five years later in 1914, John James O'Connor married Mary Gertrude "Mamie" Dye. In this blended family from the early 1900's, five more children were added.

James John O'Connor was a resident of Akron for 45 years and was employed at Firestone as a security guard for 23 years, retiring in 1964.
On the 18th of April 1942, James John O'Connor married Elizabeth Marion Strebler Thomas. They had a daughter and a son.
James John O'Connor was a Private in the army in WWI.
