James Dillard Van Eaton, 56, died Thursday in San Jose, Calif. He was born in Seattle but had lived in the Eatonville area for many years where his family had pioneered. He ranched near Silver Lake.
Mr. Van Eaton was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Alvina May "Jenett"; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Jenett) Sonsalla of Renton; his mother, Mrs. J. G. Van Eaton of Eatonville; a brother, Russell Van Eaton of San Jose; and two grandchildren.
