Elizabeth Ann Lundin Winterton celebrated her sixtieth anniversary with her husband on May 29, 2014. On June 3, 2014, she was in a car accident and on Sunday, June 15, 2014, due to complications related to the accident, she joyfully reunited with her daughter, mother, and other family members who have gone on before her.

Ann was born October 28, 1934 in Fremont, Nebraska, daughter of Clarence John and Viola Mary Ibsen Lundin.

Her parents divorced when she was five years old. Her mother met missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she and her five children were later baptized.

When Ann was seven, her mother sold all their possessions to provide enough money for the move to Utah. They traveled in a WWII troop train from Nebraska to Cedar City, Utah, where the father of one of the missionaries met them and took them to St. George in his pickup truck. Ann grew up in St. George and graduated from Dixie High School in 1952.

She met Bert. W. Winterton from Charleston, Utah who was attending Dixie College to play football. They were married on May 29, 1954 in the St George LDS Temple. Because of Bert's vocation, they have lived in Arizona, Washington, Louisiana, and are currently residing in Fruit Heights, Utah.

Ann worked eight years at Weber State Science Building Testing Center. She received first-place honors from the Intermountain Professional Photographers Association as a portrait photo colorist three years in a row. But her favorite profession and occupation was that of a wife, mother, and grandmother.

She has always been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loves the teachings of the gospel. She has served in the Primary and Relief Society organizations and in other church assignments.

She and Bert served a mission in 1993 in the interpretation department at the MTC in Provo and were in their thirteenth year of service as ordinance workers in the Bountiful LDS Temple at the time of her death.

Ann was loved by all who knew her. Because of her own distressed medical condition spanning the last thirty-five years, she has been able to show greater empathy and compassion for others in their suffering. She was a loving caregiver, always sharing that love with handwritten notes and cards for every occasion.

Ann is survived by her husband of sixty years, Bert; two brothers, Fred (LuDeen) Lundin, Pine Valley; and Harry (LouJean) Lundin, St. George; five of their six children, Kelly (Ruth Ann), Mountain Green; Lonny (Lynette), South Weber; Dale (Linda) Mountain Green; Crystal (Bart) McElyea, St George; and Suzanne (Mike) Poulsen, Lincoln, Nebraska; and son-in law, Doug (Michelle) Clark, South Weber. They have twenty-two grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and almost twenty-nine great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren are currently serving missions for the LDS Curch and another granddaughter is stationed with the Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base. Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilee Clark; her parents; her sister; and two brothers.

There will be a viewing held on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and prior to the services on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. The funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held in the Fruit Heights Second Ward Chapel, 77 South Orchard Drive, Fruit Heights, Utah.
Interment at the Uintah City Cemetery.
