Wanda Jean Grohman, 85, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Winters, Texas, on July 6, 1928, to Bud and Bonnie Jewell Queen.

She married Wayne Cummings in 1945, and had five children. Several years later after the passing of her first husband, she married Paul Grohman Sr. and they spent nine years before he preceded her in death in 2009.

Wanda was a loving homemaker; she loved to sew, crochet and cook homestyle meals. She had a passion for music, especially when it came to and all the classic voices like Elvis and Tennessee Ernie Ford. Wanda was also the world's best mother-in-law. She had a way of making all her children and stepchildren's spouses feel like they were her own children.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one daughter, Jan Cummings Childers; and her brother, Buddy Queen. She is survived by her children: son Dennis Cummings of Poyner, Texas; daughters Debra Cooper and her husband, Randy, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rebecca Davis and her husband, Ron, of Spring, Texas, and Barbara Cummings of San Angelo, Texas; special nephew Terry Queen of Bronte; her stepchildren, Paul Grohman Jr. and his wife, Gail, and Kay Anne Grohman, all of Pearland, Texas, and Jim Grohman of Abilene, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Wanda will also be missed by her special cat, "Mollie."

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, in Fairmount Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Queen and the Rev. Corey Cornutt officiating. .
