Nina was a former dancer with the Martha Graham Company. At the time of her death, she was appearing on Broadway in Bertolt Brecht's "Mother Courage" and failed to appear for the final performance. She disappeared May 2 and her body was found May 11 in a wooded area near Warrensburg. There was no signs of violence however, she had said in a letter to a friend that she thought about suicide.
