THE DALLES — Evelyn Fox, 66, formerly of Salem, died Wednesday. Cause of death was unavailable.
Born in Boise, Idaho, she came to Salem in 1953 from Tacoma, Wash. She was an administrative assistant for the state of Oregon, retiring in 1990. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sewing bridal fashions, tailoring garments and handwork of all kinds. She volunteered at the Wasco County Discovery Center presenting the Oregon Trail Program.
Survivors include her husband, William, whom she married in 1953; sons, David of The Dalles and Darrell of Goldendale, Wash.; daughter, Terri Trousdale of Simi Valley, Calif.; brother, Kevin Hardcastle of Hillsboro; sisters, Dana Palmer of Spokane, Wash., Lynne Crosier and Iris Morgan, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Ruth Hay of Dillon, Mont.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at City View Cemetery in Salem. Arrangements are by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors in Salem.
