.. Adam Stanley Brode, 72, of RD 2 (Frost Ave. Extended), Frostburg (MD), died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter Phillips, of RD 2, Frostburg. A native of Frostburg, he was a son of the late Henry and Althea (Hansel) Brode. His wife, Mrs. Clara (Michael) Brode preceded him in death. Survivors include three sons, Edgar H., Francis E. and Paul Lee Brode, all of Finzel; four other daughters, Mrs. Howard Bush, Cumberland; Mrs. Harold Spiker, Lonaconing; Mrs. Omer Rafferty and Mrs. George Lancaster, both of Frostburg; two sisters, Mrs. James Leonard, Finnleyville, Pa., and Mrs. Rebecca Gerlock, Cumberland; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Brode was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Church of Christ and the United Mine Workers of America.
