William LeRoy "Roy" Neely, Sr., 86, widower of Claudia "Bootsie" White Neely, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Neely was born February 9, 1928, in Georgetown, a son of the late Lee Neely and Dealie Lambert Neely.
He grew up in Georgetown and lived all his life there. Mr. Neely owned and operated Roy Neely Construction Co. and later worked with his son's company, Corey Enterprises. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and farming.
He was survived by a son, William L. Neely, Jr. (Carolyn) of Murrells Inlet; two daughters, Claudia N. Todd (Darrell) of Georgetown, and Angela N. Davis of Florence; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Neely was predeceased by his wife, his parents, and five sisters.
Graveside services were Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ted A. Sherrill officiated. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed.
