Mary Graves was born in England about 1627. She came with her family to America when she was a young lady. She married Moses Ventrous on January 14, 1646/7 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was born about 1625, possibly the son of William Ventrus. There is some uncertainty about Mary's name, or whether she is a Graves. The Hartford Times, July 18, 1966 states: Moses Ventrous married Grace ------ on January 14, 1647. A marriage record at Hartford states the same thing.
