Death of Mrs. Dibble.
GALESBURG, March 22-[Special.]-Mrs. Prudence Dibble, widow of Charles Dibble, deceased, of Pavilion, died at her son's residence in same township early this morning in the 73d year of her age. The deceased was an old resident of this county, arriving here in 1837, was an estimable woman and greatly esteemed by neighbors and acquaintances. She leaves five sons and two daughters, residing in Kansas, New York and this state, to mourn her loss. Funeral Sunday at 2 P. M., Rev. D M. Mrs. Chas. Dibble was suddenly attacked by a shock of paralysis Tuesday evening and died from the effects Friday morning at 3 o'clock. The funeral was held at the old homestead Sunday at 3 o'clock p. m. Mrs. Dibble was born in Delaware county, New York, In 1816, where she lived until 1835, when she moved to Michigan and settled on the farm in Pavilion where she died. Her husband, Chas. Dibble, died in 1881. They were blessed with eight children, five boys and three girls, seven of whom survive them, the eldest daughter being dead. Kalamazoo Daily Telegraph March 26, 1889 page 2
