FORMER RESIDENT DIES
Information was received here on Thursday morning of last week announcing the death, of Fred Voeks, a former resident of the town of Sevastopol, he having passed away during the preceding night. He died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Henry Gippard, with whom he had been living for the past year. Deceased was born on March 24, 1858 [1856 ?]. In 1878 he came to this county and in 1883 he was married to Minnie Millbrach [Milbrath]. After the death of his first wife he was married to Mrs. Louise Weitermann. In 1911 he disposed of his property in the town of Jacksonport and came to the city, where his second wife died in 1918. Shortly after this he went to Milwaukee. In addition to his son he is survived by four brothers and four sisters, whose homes are in different parts of the state. There are also several step-children. The remains were brought here for burial, arriving on the train Monday evening, accompanied by his relatives. He leaves a son Oscar of Denmark, Wis. The funeral was held on Tuesday morning, services being conducted by Rev. F. Schumann of the German Lutheran church of Sawyer.
