At his home near Ellis, Steuben county, Indiana, March 10, 1897, Orin Patch, aged 47 years, 7 months, and 3 days.
Orin Patch was born in Hardin county, Ohio, August 7, 1849. The parents of the deceased moved to this county when he was quite young, where he grew up to manhood. At the age of twenty years he was united in marriage to Alice J. Sowle, and to them were born five children; two sons and three daughters.
In 1886 his wife departed to the spirit land. In June 1888, he became a member of the Christian church at South Scott, and in August of the same year he was united in marriage to Alma Middaugh, and to them was born one son and one daughter.
He leaves a wife and six children to mourn their loss.
Funeral services were held at the South Scott church, conducted by Elder D. C. Hanselman.
