Sarah Colquitt married Beverly Guthrie December 17, 1793 in Cumberland County, Virginia. It is believed Beverly died prior to 1820 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, and Sarah was living in the home of son Nehemiah in Walton County at the time of her death about 1848. Her son-in-law William B. Collins was the administrator of her estate filed in the court of ordinary in Monroe, Walton County, Georgia, October 12, 1848 and dismissed at the May term of 1855.

Their children included:

Nancy Guthrie (married William B. Collins, September 26, 1813) They made their home in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.

Elizabeth Jane "Betsy" Guthrie (married Andrew Turner, April 12, 1816) They made their home in Henry County, Georgia.

Martha "Patsy" Guthrie (married William "Buck" Andrews, March 22, 1822) They made their home in Henry County, Georgia.

Nehemiah Guthrie (married Nancy Banks Turner, January 24, 1828)
They made their home in Walton County, Georgia. They sometimes spelled the family name "Guthrey."
