COSHOCTON - Barbara Jean Poorman, 62, of 1833 South Lawn Ext., Coshocton, died Monday, Dec. 16, 1996, from injuries received in an auto accident in Waverly, Tenn.

Born Oct. 22, 1934, in Brazos County, Texas, she was the daughter of Lorena (Appling) Greer of Bryan, Texas, and the late Dave Greer.

On Nov. 16, 1955, she married Allen A. Poorman, who preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1974.

Mrs. Poorman was a waitress at Edie Ryan's Family Resturant in Coshocton.

She was a member of VFW 1330 Auxiliary, VFW 204 Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Lodge and Moose Lodge, all of Coshocton.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Poorman is survived by a son, Roger A. Poorman of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Kerry W. Richard of Keene; three grandchildren, Terra, John and James Richard, all of Keene; four brothers, Sidney and Kenneth Greer, both of Bryan, Texas, Glen Greer of Jasper, Texas, and Dean Greer of Houston; four sisters, Audrey Reiner of Little Rock, Ark., and Lillian Russell, Bertha Hall and Mildred Sunshine Wade, all of Bryan.

In addition to her husband and her father, Mrs. Poorman was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Maj. Wilmer Bender officiating. Burial will follow in the Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday and until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
