East Jordan Man Rites Set

Funeral services for George Shananaquet, 71, who died Monday at Lockwood­ MacDonald Hospital in Petoskey where he had been a patient for two weeks, were held at the Watson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 25th . The Rev. Lester Priest officiated. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Born at Alba Oct, 7, 1899, Mr. Shananaquet was married to the former Lois Scott, who died in 1929. In 1930 he married the former Mary Andrews Pabo who preceded him in death in 1944.
An electrician by trade, he had lived In East Jordan and Bay Shore before going to Charlevoix where he was employed by the city of Charlevoix until he was injured in an industrial accident. In recent years he has resided in Charlevoix, East Jordan and Boyne Falls.
Surviving are two sons, Orville of Detroit and Murley J. of East Jordan; a daughter, Mrs. Jesse (Virginia) Adams of Fort Wayne, Ind.; several grandchildren and great grandchildrenSee Find A Grave Memorial# 131298303 entered under a different spelling of his name
