Louisa was the wife of Emmet Frank Conklin, one of the sons of S. J. Conklin. Together, they had at least four children, George S. (b. 1876, WI), Flora H. (b. 1877, WI), & Earl A. (b. 1879, WI), and Ruth (b. 1883). After his wife's death, Emmet left Clark, S. D. for Idaho, where he remarried and is buried.
