A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery for longtime Taft resident, Mark Alan Anglin, 54. Rev. Tom will officiate at the service. Mr. Anglin was born in Martinez, CA on January 8, 1960 and passed away in a Bakersfield hospital on June 9, 2014 after a long term illness. Mr. Anglin worked as a compressor mechanic for several years with Tesoro Refinery in Martinez then relocated with his family back to Taft where he worked as a compressor mechanic for Compressor Parts Unlimited. Mr. Anglin enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. His children and grandchildren were the most important thing to him. Mr. Anglin was preceded in death by his parents, John and Naomi Anglin; a daughter, Kira Dawn; two brothers, Bob and Dan; and grandson, Matthew. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, his four children, eight grandchildren, sister, brothers, and many family members and friends. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
