A native of Coffee County, Ga., she had lived in Palatka and Waycross, Ga., for the past 19 years, coming from Bacon County, Ga., where she had lived most of her life. She was a member of Liberty church of God in Bacon County, Ga.
She is survived by three daughters, Faye Williams and Vallaree Williams, both of Palatka, and Lavonia Strickland of Waycross, Ga.; sister, Lizzie Mims of Alma, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. July 5 at Crosby Funeral Home, Alma, Ga., with the Rev. Jack Barber and the Rev. Cecil Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Meeks Cemetery in Nicholls, Ga. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 22 Jul 1992.)
