Muncie - MUNCIE- Marie (Slusher) Lackey, 87, passed away Wednesday morning, June 11, 2014 at Willowbend Living Center.
She was born January 23, 1927 in Kentucky, the daughter of Doc and Inis Slusher.
Marie was a homemaker and member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting and flowers.
Survivors include one daughter, Doris Williams of Jamestown, TN; one son, Danny Lackey (wife, Pattie) of Muncie; five grandchildren, Stephen, Jerry, Ronnie, Todd and Leslie; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, Odell E. Lackey on March 7, 1991; five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2014 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Luke Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
