SPECULATIVE that this individual is interred at Midway Methodist Cemetery. It is said that her husband served in the Civil War, died before 1867, and is buried here in an unmarked grave (this information is unsourced). The earliest marked grave seems to date from 1881 (Anna TAYLOR), then one from 1882 (Charley BROOKS) and several from 1883 (Mrs. Elizabeth WHITTON, Joseph J. HUNTER, Selita Frances HENRY BENTON). There certainly could be earlier graves that are unmarked.

Born ca. 1814. Said to be daughter of Lewis Henry & Amy Elizabeth (MOSELEY) LINCH (both reportedly born in Virginia). Married 18 DEC 1832 in Putnam County, Georgia, to Jordan Cruse BROOKS, said to be son of Isham & Lezina (DANIEL) BROOKS. Mother of at least eight children. Said to have died in 1880 in Muscogee County, Georgia - but not before she was enumerated on the 1880 census (Census Day 01 JUN 1880).

Son: Isham R. BROOKS, who married first 13 OCT 1867 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Martha A. HUNTER, at least three children; second on 13 FEB 1881 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Jerelena "Jerry" GAMMELL (ca. 1862-10 SEP 1890), at least two children; and third 12 OCT 1892 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Mrs. Mary Tullulah "Lula" (MULLINS) IVEY (MAY 1857-28 JUL 1942), at least two children by BROOKS, including: Bennett Gordon "Bennie" BROOKS.

Daughter: Amanda Vandalia (BROOKS) SKINNER

Daughter: Martha Elzada (BROOKS) FENISON

Daughter:
Adelaide Macon (BROOKS) BOLAND, who married 28 SEP 1884 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Jeremiah Christopher "Jerre" BOLAND.
