According to my cousin's extensive research on the McGill family (who at one time owned the property that this cemetery is on) and his personal visit to the property in March, 1977, Rebeccas tombstone once read: "Rebecca, Wife of Samuel Young, 12-5-1861, aged 45 years." His notes and research on the cemetery also state that Rebecca Sharp was the daughter of Elias Sharp, brother of Jim Sharp of Caddo, KY. Samuel Young was supposedly from Virginia. It is unknown if the marker is still standing or even there since this information was gathered in 1977. These names, notes, and dates were taken from his genealogical work titled, "McGill, Being The History of James McGill and Sarah Broshears, Of Pennsylvania and Kentucky and their Descendants." ©1997 Louisville, Kentucky
