MARJORIE BARRASS

Marjorie Nan Barrass, a Cotati homemaker, died Wednesday at a Santa Rosa hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 48.

A native of Whitesville, Utah, she was reared in Dixon. She and her husband, Ira Barrass, moved to Petaluma in 1968 and to Cotati five years ago.

Mrs. Barrass was a member of the third ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Katherine Bush of Novato; two sons, John Booker of Rohnert Park and Larry Booker of Clinton, Utah; four sisters, Erma Williams of Petaluma, Genevieve Geary of Coalville, Utah, Lucille Ball of Salt Lake City, Utah and Virginia Bertch of Dixon; two brothers, Emmett Brooks of Coquille, Ore. And Jimmy Brooks of Henefer, Utah, and six grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Petaluma. Burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Arrangements are under the direction of the Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma.

The family prefers contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 811 College Ave., Santa Rosa, or to the speech and hearing department at Children's Hospital, 51st and Grove streets, Oakland.
