Troy Collins, along with his wife Mallie and young son Bayse, came to Alberta to homestead in 1904. They settled near Elnora, Alberta, Troy clearing the raw land and building a house and log barn. Troy served on the local school board and as a Councillor of the MD of Hays for many years.
