Mother of Camp Goldendale Head Succumbs Here.
Funeral services were held here Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Ernest Copeland, of Las Vegas, Nev., who died Thursday night at the home of her son Alden Copeland. Mrs. Copeland, with her husband, were visiting in Goldendale at the Alden Copeland home, when she was stricken with a heart attack.
Her son is superintendent of the soil conservation service at Camp Goldendale. Mrs. Copeland had been in Goldendale shortly before Thanksgiving and had planned to spend the holidays here.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest, one son, Alden, of Goldendale,and one daughter, Ardath Keller, of Paradise Valley, Nev. Mrs. Copeland was born in Greenwood County, Kansas in 1883 and had resided in Nevada since 1912. Burial was in the I.O.O.F cemetery in Goldendale, Rev. C. J. Hall conducted the services from the Phillips Chapel.
