Penny McDowell passed away Friday morning in her home. She is the daughter of Alfred David and Evelyn Juanita (Asbury) Wilson. Penny grew up in Springfield and graduated from Willard High School. She has lived in Republic the past 16 years where she was driver of the #4 school bus for the Republic School District. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven McDowell, October 7, 1987, and her parents. She is survived by her son, daughter, a grandson, her fiance, a brother, a nephew, three stepsons, and numerous other relatives and friends.
