Billie Faye Owen Nantz, 72, of Mooresville, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born July 14, 1932 in Mooresville to the late Clement "Red" Marvin and Nellie Gray Owen, Mrs. Nantz was a homemaker. She was a member of Vanderburg United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose. A daughter, Kimberly Nantz Deaton, preceded Mrs. Nantz in death.
Survivors include her children, Steve Nantz, Butch Nantz, Billy Nantz and Cindy Shinn, all of Mooresville; sister, Hazel Haithcox of Statesville; brother, Lonnie Owen of Mooresville; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., today, Friday, Nov. 5, at Vanderburg United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stephen C. Porter officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Women of the Moose, c/o Mooresville Moose Lodge #2012, P.O. Box 575, Mooresville, NC 28115.
